August 2021 – Invoke Tax Partners is excited to announce the promotion of Ian Doss to Director of West Coast Property Tax. Since joining Invoke, Ian has spent his time growing the practice throughout the West Coast as well as developing operational procedures to ensure maximum savings potential for our clients. In his expanded leadership role, Ian will oversee the daily business activities and strategic growth of the West Coast Region.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to have a front row seat to Ian’s growth during these last few years. I’ve been blessed to be able to watch him evolve into a charismatic, engaged, and thoughtful leader in this industry and an invaluable cornerstone to our West Coast Practice,” said James Sutton, Partner and National Director of Property Tax. “He is surrounded by a fantastic team, and we are excited to see how his leadership better positions Invoke as the best-in-class state and local tax solution out West.”
Ian began his career at Ad Valorem Solutions (AVS), a boutique San Francisco Bay Area property tax firm. After learning from the ground up, Ian quickly developed a knack for client service and moved into that role serving multiple large clients based on the West Coast. AVS sold to a national property tax consulting firm in December of 2012 where Ian continued to manage West Coast clients while also leading business development in the Region. Since joining Invoke three years ago, Ian has consistently expanded his relationships throughout the country into other key markets through his superior client service and a firm handle on operations.
“I’m very excited for this expanded leadership role as we continue to make waves in the property tax market out West. One of the nuances that I feel sets Invoke apart from our competitors is that we have hand selected consultants in each market of the country, many of us having spent a good amount of our careers working in tandem to serve our clients,” said Ian Doss, Director of West Coast Property Tax. “Having the knowledge and understanding of our peers has proven to allow us to collaborate more effectively and manage our client-base with more efficiency.”
Ian’s promotion cements another important milestone in the legendary property tax career of his father, Tim Doss, as he capitalizes on the opportunity to move into the role of Strategic Advisor for the West Coast. “It has been an honor having Tim guide our West Coast Practice these past two years, and it is truly amazing to see the growth and opportunities he has created,” said Matt Fossey, CEO. “It brings me great pride to see his initial vision and desire to act as a Strategic Advisor to the firm become a reality.” In his role, Tim will draw on his more than 45 years of experience to help identify and evaluate long-term avenues for growth and client service out West.
