August 2020 – Invoke Tax Partners is pleased to announce the continued addition of industry-leading Property Tax Consultants in our Northern and Southern California offices. Over the course of 2020 Invoke has successfully added strategic talent throughout the state amassing over 200 years of combined real estate and business personal property tax experience. Beginning with the acquisition of AVTI in January, and continuing with several additional hires throughout the year, Invoke now boasts one of the premier groups of California-based property tax talent in the industry.

Invoke has brought on Tim Doss to fill the role of Director of West Coast Property Tax, bringing with him more than 45 years of property tax experience. After working early in his career for Fortune 100 companies and public accounting firms, Tim co-founded Ad Valorem Solutions (AVS), a boutique property tax consulting firm based in San Francisco. Before selling after 18 years, AVS quickly became the preeminent West Coast property tax consulting destination attracting the largest owners of Commercial, Industrial and Multi-Family real estate in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mike Clark, a 40+ year industry veteran, will be occupying the role of Director of West Coast Real Estate based out of Los Angeles. Coming over via the acquisition of AVTI where he acted as President and Principal, Mike is considered an expert in forming and implementing the strategy for legitimately minimizing the financial impact of a California Proposition 13 re-assessment for clients. Whether for an individual property or a portfolio of more than 1,500 commercial properties, Mike is known as an industry leader in identifying and quantifying intangible value in assessment appeals for specific property types.
These two leadership hires will be accompanied by newly appointed Strategic Advisor to Invoke, Del Kolbe. Based out of San Francisco, Del has been a nationally recognized visionary and pivotal leader in commercial real estate consulting and state and local taxes for more than 40 years. As Invoke’s Strategic Advisor, Del will help identify and evaluate long-term avenues for growth and client service. With a deep understanding of corporate tax challenges and a keen ability to anticipate future needs created by changes in governmental policy, Del has a proven and impressive track record of economically driven strategic leadership in the field.
Tim, Mike, and Del were all founding members of the California Alliance of Taxpayer Advocates.
