December 2020 – Invoke Tax Partners is excited to announce the promotion of Rory Dyck to Director of Operations for Sales and Use Tax. For more than eleven years Rory has been an integral part of the growth experienced within Invoke and has exceled in the management and execution of the firm’s largest and most complex Sales Tax Audits. In his expanded leadership role, Rory will oversee the daily business activities of the Sales and Use Tax department.
“Rory’s extraordinary work ethic and proven track record of achieved savings across numerous states and industries has led the Sales and Use Tax Team by example day-in and day-out,” said Scott Schwertner, Partner and National Director of Sales and Use Tax. “His leadership, attention to details, and ability to deliver results for our Clients has always set the precedent within our department, and I am excited for the future of our Sales and Use Practice and the important leadership role Rory will play in its success.”
Drawing on his experience, Rory will lead the Sales and Use Tax Department by managing resources, growing staff, implementing operational best practices, and developing best in class project technology. During his time with Invoke, Rory has become an expert in large complex sales tax audits and has completed hundreds of sales tax audits and refunds across the United States, with a primary focus in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Restaurants. Outside of Sales and Use Tax, Rory also lends critical support in Invoke’s Severance Tax and Gross Receipts Tax engagements.

Rory is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Rory spends his free time with his wife and son and has a passion for travel having visited over 40 countries and every corner of the United States.
