Director of Property Tax - Southeast Region
Jay Heacock is the Director of Property Tax for the Southeast Region at Invoke Tax Partners. With a track record of proven success centered on client retention and growth, Jay is responsible for maximizing strategic client results, satisfaction, and engagement. In this Director capacity he leads a team of talented individuals that have demonstrated the highest levels of expertise achieving real estate valuation reductions, providing pre-acquisition strategy/analysis, reporting and budgeting. Jay uses his talents to expand our footprint in the region by growing the client base, obtaining the best results for current and future clients, and applying processes that are unique to the region.
Prior to entering the property tax industry, Jay was employed as a commercial real estate appraiser at two national appraisal companies in Dallas, TX. His valuation experience includes: valuation of all types of commercial real estate, highest and best use analyses, market rent studies, eminent domain, litigation support, portfolio valuations and insurable valuations. In 2019, Jay entered the property tax industry with Invoke Tax Partners in the Atlanta, Georgia office. During this time, Jay has represented multiple property owners throughout the southeast and generated significant tax savings, while ensuring the needs of his clients were always the first and foremost consideration.
Jay has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Auburn University and an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Florida State University. He is also a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in multiple states and a Tennessee Taxpayer Agent.
Jay resides in the Atlanta, Georgia suburb of Roswell. With a passion for outdoor activities, he can be found riding his bicycle on the Big Creek Greenway or traveling across the United States in search of that perfect bike trail.
