June 2022 – Invoke Tax Partners is pleased to announce the addition of Tony Turner as Manager of Sales and Use Tax based in our Houston, Texas office. With over a decade of experience working in the Texas Comptroller’s office and over 30 years working with leading tax consulting firms, tax technology companies, and as an independent consultant, Tony will bring a well-rounded background and unique perspective to the team, allowing Invoke to continue to meet long-term goals.

Tony spent the first 12 years of his career at the Texas Comptroller’s office before joining a national consulting firm where he worked on behalf of clients submitting audit refunds and reducing audit liabilities. After leaving the consulting side of the business, Tony helped found Tax Automation, a tax technology firm specializing in integrating tax systems to customer ERP’s. Most recently Tony consulted for Taxware International, a leading tax technology firm that specialized in automating sales and use taxes. Acting as a liaison between programmers and the tax department, Tony successfully assisted with the implementation of numerous tax integrations for corporations of various sizes all over the country.

Tony is a certified CPA and holds a BBA in Accounting from Wiley College. Residing in Houston, Texas, Tony enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren, traveling, and has a passion for fishing in the gulf coast.
